Rolling Rock Hunt is pleased to have Sam Clifton as our Huntsman.  Born into a hunting family,  Sam is the third generation to be in hunt service, and his father has been hunting hounds for the past 42 years.

 

Sam started his professional career in England at the age of 15 as a first whip to the Curre Hunt. Sam then moved to Canada to whip-in to the Toronto and North York Hunt for two seasons, and another four with the Eglington and Caledon Hunt. 

 

Sam came to the United States to take first whip positions at Blue Ridge Hunt (VA) and Mr. Stewart's Cheshire Foxhounds (PA).

Prior to Rolling Rock Hunt, Sam was the Huntsman at Green Spring Valley, in Maryland.

 We are thrilled to have Sam and his 23 years experience to Rolling Rock Hunt and the Ligonier Valley.
